Do you have time to share?

Walsall Domestic Violence Forum co-ordinates a range of services for clients who have suffered, or are currently suffering Domestic Abuse. Each service is designed to offer clients support through confidential, non-judgemental working practices that empower individuals to make their own decisions about their lives. Our volunteer support workers provide sign posting and information that enables clients to access other services and on going support.

We are always looking for special people who would like to make a difference to the lives of the many Walsall people affected by Domestic Abuse.

Can I discuss this with anyone?

You can talk to Diana or Randip on 01922 406767, they will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our well-respected services.

Diana looks forward to talking with you about the Crisis Intervention Service.

Randip will be pleased to answer any questions you may have about volunteering for either of our 24 hour help-lines: Stepping Stones and SAYA multi-lingual line.

If you are interested, an application pack will be sent to you for completion.

What happens then?

When we receive your application form you will be contacted to discuss your application and to agree some dates for training. All volunteers are required to attend our two-day basic training course and additional training specific to the service you are volunteering for.

We will send for your references and ask you to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure form. If you are a volunteer driver, we will also need information required for insurance.

Before you begin any voluntary work with us we will ensure that you feel ready and equipped for your role.
