Domestic Abuse Training

Walsall Domestic Violence Forum has been delivering multi-agency training in the Borough of Walsall since 1999; due to the
success of our training we are pleased to be able to offer the programme across the West Midlands.

Each Module costs £40 per person. For those requiring an official CPD certificate there will be an additional charge of £10.
 Please ask the trainers for the application form on the day of training.
Domestic Abuse Awareness
Supporting Victims

This course has been designed to show best practice in supporting         
 victims of Domestic Abuse.
Course participants will gain insight into:

Understand the difficulties people face when speaking out
     about  Domestic Abuse.
Ÿ
Empowering victims to make informed choices.
Ÿ
Helping victims to recognise their vulnerabilities.
Working With Men This course has been developed to explore working with men in three key areas: Working with men who present as victims of abuse. Working with men who present as perpetrators of abuse. Referral Pathways.
Risk Assessment in Domestic Abuse
              This module has been developed to assist practitioners
 in Carrying out informed risk assessments of victim, child and
 Perpetrators in domestic abuse cases.
 This training includes:-

Assessing the risk posed to a victim.
Ÿ
Assessing risk posed to children.
Ÿ
Assessing the risk posed by the perpetrator
Ÿ
What is MARAC?
Ÿ
How to make an appropriate referral to MARAC
